Wedding Fun - September 2020

In September, our friends Steve and Lindsay got married! Jim and I got to stand up together and Hailey was a flower girl. We all had so much fun!!

On rehearsal day (Friday) Hailey got her first ever pedicure and her nails painted. She wasn't so sure of putting her feet in the water, but she at least them paint her toes!

Then, early Saturday morning we went and got her hair professionally done for the first time and it was so cute!!

On our way to the church after getting our hair done!

We all got to ride on the bus and had some fun taking silly pictures.

Serious conversation with Steve!!

Ugh, Blake!!

Her new friend and fellow flower girl, Tiegan (Steve's niece)

She was ready to get out of her dress by the end of the night so this was the best we could get with the new Mr & Mrs.

Hailey Started 4k

Hailey started 4k (3 days a week) at Redeemer Lutheran Church. She has been loving school this year! Due to COVID I was not able to walk her into her classroom but at least I can walk her into the building and get her coat off and help her pick her name! Thankful for the help we have to get her to and from every day too! She was a little hesitant the first day, but has made big girl leaps everyday!

2020 Pumpkin Patch

We took the kids to Polly's Pumpkin Patch for some fun!! It was pretty chilly but the kids had fun. We played some of the games, climbed the hay pile, and took a tractor/wagon ride to pick out our pumpkins!!

COVID Shut School Down & Quarantine

We started school in person and unfortunately, in September we already had a full shutdown. Blake did alright with the virtual learning but never liked to participate in any of the activities. He got to go back after the shutdown and then on October 15th he was identified as a close contact to someone at school that tested positive (along with 4 others in his class) so it was back home until October 29th!

This was round 2 of virtual school after being identified as a close contact to an aide that tested positive!

Blake is a Kindergartner!

Blake started Kindergarten at Roncalli Catholic Schools on Thursday, August 27th. He was so excited to start, until he wasn't. We had a rough drop-off initially but then after school he was all smiles. It always takes him a little bit to warm up to new environments and this was a very unusual way to start the year. I wasn't able to walk him up to his classroom (which may have helped some), and he had to stand in line for quite a while and 6 feet away from other kids. I just don't think social distancing with kids this age will work very well. He seems to really like his teacher, Mrs. Janke and has made a few friends. Jim and I both picked him up after school on that first day and we celebrated with a trip to PK's Beans and Cream for some ice cream (this just might become a new tradition). He was excited to go back for day 2!
